Job Description
Are you looking to launch a career in the insurance industry but don't yet have your license? Were looking for a motivated, coachable, and goal-oriented individual to join our team as an Insurance Producer Trainee. In this role, you will support day-to-day operations of the agency while receiving the training, resources, and support necessary to earn your Michigan Insurance Producer License.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional insurance agency environment and transition into a licensed producer role upon successful completion of your licensing.
Salary: $35000.00 - $65000.00 per year
Annual Base Salary + Commission

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with customer service tasks including answering phones, managing appointments, and processing documents

Support licensed agents with quoting, follow-up calls, and lead tracking

Learn and observe client consultation best practices

Engage with prospects to help generate interest and schedule insurance consultations

Prepare for and complete the Michigan Insurance Producer License exam Property & Casualty License.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions

Participate in agency meetings, training sessions, and mentorship programs
Requirements:

Sales Experience (Preferred, but Not Required): Previous experience in sales, customer service, or the insurance industry is a plus, but not necessary. We provide all the training you need.

Self-Motivated & Goal-Oriented: Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and stay driven to meet sales targets and agency milestones.

Strong Communication Skills: You should be able to confidently build rapport with clients, prospects, and team members.

Desire to Learn & Grow: Willingness to learn the insurance business from the ground up, with a focus on developing your own agency.

MI State Insurance License (or Willing to Obtain): Applicants must have or be willing to obtain their Michigan Property & Casualty License and Life Insurance License.
